Tools used: Maya 6.0 Unlimited, Mental Ray, Photoshop CS
Time: 2 days

Description:
It's the newer, matured version of what I did a few years ago entitled "theCUBE" [link]
I redid the piece in order to show progress in art, it became clearer, sharper and it gained a bit more sense in what I tried to express in my first version.
Technically spoken I used almost the same technique for this image, but the composition slighty changed aswell as the lighting.
Hoping that I pushed it a bit further into the 'realistic' category, making it more believable.

My best friend brilliantly describes this picture with these words:

' The world we live in...
It is built of everlasting contrasts:
Day and night, right and wrong, wealth and poor, love and hate...
They're meant to be, thus our world exists as a whole.

The world we live in...
It is built of fragile glass:
When the balance is shaken, the peace is broken.
Accept the difference, cherish the integration. '

I think this image would be that much more fantastic if you had a character hanging out in the middle. Nothing too out of place, but very mysterious. I think the GI in this is amazing and makes me wish I could master Maya like that! In a way, the image is already a weird unsettling creepiness but still badass. /j

holy shit thank you.... i pm'd you a LONG while back asking for this pick w/ the reflection # upped, yet you explained your HD crash and its subsequent disappearence. Here you have brough it back, and improved on it in almost every way. Thank you so so very much. +fav :)
